How has the flora of this ecosystem affected the behavior, coloration, and survival of the animals? Most importantly, how can these stories come alive in the exhibits with examples visitors can study and examine, touch and marvel at?
Your goals and unique circumstances come first. What is your vision? What plants can be grown well in your area? Will plants need to be custom grown to create the best effect? How can this be made to meet the keepers’ needs? What will be required to maintain this landscape? What do we want the landscape to look like in five years?
